MICHELLE SAKATA JOHNSON
Owner of two “Goldmines” in Kona; 4th generation Japanese Kona Coffee farmer and a graduate of Konawaena High School. She was also crowned Kona Coffee Queen in 1977, obtained a fashion design degree designing for celebrities, local divas and have future plans for a lounge-wear line. She is raising her family in Kona on her familys' 100 year coffee-land-house. She is very happy to be able to also help people with their immediate financial needs and provide a selection of beautiful jewelry and coins at affordable prices at her charming store front in Kailua-Kona. Michelle’s parents are Norman and Marilyn Sakata who have been active in our community for decades.
CERI TACDERAN COPELAND
Ceri Copeland was born and raised in Hilo, a graduate of Hilo High School. (Yes they were friendly high school rivals.) She has been living in Kona for many years where she is raising her family and has worked as one of the favorite substitute teachers at the Kealakehe Schools for a 15 year strecth. Her ties to the island is vital to the success of Kona's first specialized gold buying business since 2011. She is also a licensed realtor, a consierge and a volunteer for major events like Project Grad. Her parents are Tac and Arlene Tacderan from Hilo.
